Tre Fontane residential project - Rome (Italy)
Architectural project (Rome)
DescriptionGalleryDetails
Between the centre of Rome and its 1930's expansion EUR, it is foreseen to develop a medium-sized housing project on an empty plot. The complex will contain almost 200 flats of varying square meters. Axis which are coming from the existent urban design, define the collocation of the new urban settlement. The white "wings" of a simple and modern architectural language enclose a public park of intimate character, destined to be used mainly by the inhabitants.
Architecture works with the topography of the building site, emphasizing the given possibility of panoramic views. Every flat offers a huge southwards orientated terrace or other outdoor space, like private gardens on the ground floor. The buildings follow 2 different topologies: there is a North-South and an East-West orientated type. Main parking spaces are underneath the buildings. Private gardens use accumulated rainwater and all roofs are green roofs.
