Architectural poject (Tripoli) - currently under construction
DescriptionGalleryDetails
The Abunjeym Master Plan (view URBAN DESIGN) provides space for 200 housing units on standard plots of 310m2 each. Three types of buildings are proposed (A,B,C). They are similar in construction but vary slightly in layout.
Here shown is building type B. It is the medium size building, while types A and C retain the same components, but are slightly smaller or bigger. The volumetric development starts in type A with an L-shape and grows to a U-shape in type B and type C.
Every housing unit has one floor integrating an entrance area, private car park, a front side and a rear side garden. Layout and structure are conceived to grow up to two floors. In order to obtain an indoor comfort all openings are equipped with shading elements based on irradiation studies. Parts of the roof are elevated. In the elevated space, there are glass brick openings inserted with fans for cross ventilation. The different roof levels allow a minimum of movement in the urban landscape.
