Case study for a residential building (RSP - Bangalore)
DescriptionGalleryDetails
For an area within an existing urban planning the Client wants to evaluate the option of adding a block of small apartments on site. On a case study level we analyzed schematically the structure such a building could have. The architectural idea consists in splitting the longitudinal building in 2 slices (north and south) and use the space in-between for access. On the floor plan layout the variaty of apartments embraces studios, 1-, 1.5- and 2-BHK (Bedroom-Hall-Kitchen). The natural ventilation of minor rooms going out to this space wouldn't be a problem.
As to be seen in the section the north front is higher than the southern one and the apartments on the the last 4 levels turn their orientation to benefit from the most of (shaded) sunlight and views.
