Palm Reserve Settlement of Townhouses - Bangalore (India)

Master Plan Project

DescriptionGalleryDetails

The urban layout for this settlement of about 280 townhouses, courtyard houses and twin villas on a former farmland of coconut palm and mango trees aims to preserve most of the palmtrees in a way of letting fall the public spaces and green areas fall in the areas where these trees grow.

The Clubhouse is located at the centre in direct connection to the park. Its roof is perforated so that the existing trees can remain in place, grow throughout the building penetrating the roof. House type B is a split level house and stays around a rised prdestrian square.

Houses with enough roof space generate their energy via solar panels. An additional common bio-power plant tends to get the settlement independend from the state grid.
